There's a sort of Kirby art book being put together, including lots of different pieces contributed by a bunch of awesome artists! I looked into this Kirby's Dream Zine
and decided to submit a picture of my own. Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble was my first Kirby game, so it's held in a good spot in my heart!
I tried a few new things with this one! Used a wider variety of value like putting in some lighting, something I never usually did until now. I colored the outlines to give it a softer and semi-3D look but still maintaining the 2D aspect, used some different brushes to show a little texture, and tried for a crazy perspective. I believe this is the first proper Kirby picture of mine done in 300 dpi as well. So yeah, lots of new techniques! It's cool to see them all work together in the end.
